No. Metzee runs in a web browser, on a phone or a laptop.
That is not a cut-down version of the product. It is the product: watching, bidding, paying, selling and running a show all happen in the browser.
There is no app yet
Not for Android, not for iPhone. If you find something in a store claiming to be Metzee, it is not ours — tell us.
We would rather say that plainly than imply an app exists because it sounds more established.
Getting to it quickly
Your browser can put a shortcut on the home screen — "Add to Home screen" on Android, "Add to Home Screen" from the share menu on iPhone. It opens straight into Metzee and it is one tap, which is most of what an app gives you anyway.
What to watch for on a phone
Notifications. Allow them in the browser if you bid — a payment reminder you did not see is a win you lose.
Battery saver. Aggressive power saving can pause a background tab, which stops a live show.
Data. Video is video. On mobile data, join for the item rather than the whole hour.
Questions people ask
Will there be an app?
Probably, and we are not going to promise a date we might miss.
Does everything work in the browser?
Yes — bidding, paying, selling, hosting a show.
Which browsers work?
A current Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Very old versions struggle with live video.
Why am I not getting notifications?
They have to be allowed in the browser, and battery saving can hold them back.
