How it works

Live auctions, explained for people who have never been to one.

A show is a seller, live on camera, selling things one at a time.

Watching

You do not need an account to watch. Open any show and you will see the seller, the item they are holding up, a clock, and everyone else's bids as they arrive.

Bidding

  1. Each item gets its own countdown — usually under a minute.
  2. A bid resets the clock, so a last-second bid never steals an item.
  3. When the clock reaches zero, the highest bid wins it.

Some items are not auctioned at all. Those have a set price and a Buy now button.

Paying

You pay once you have won. Your money is held by Metzee until the item reaches you — if it never arrives, or it is not what was described, you get it back. That is the whole of buyer protection, in one sentence.

Getting it

The seller packs and posts it, and you get tracking. Some offer local delivery or collection instead; each item says which before you bid.

If something goes wrong, open the order and tell us. A real person reads it.
