In order, because skipping a step usually makes the next one slower rather than faster.
1. The seller, on the order
Not the show chat, not a review — the order. One message, specific, with a photograph if there is one to attach.
This resolves most problems, and it is also what makes a later escalation strong: a record of you raising it reasonably and what they said.
2. Raise it on the order
Ask Metzee to help, or a return where something arrived and is wrong. Metzee decides a dispute within 48 hours of it being opened.
On a return, you have to give the seller 48 hours first — that is the window in which most of these end well. How to raise a problem
This is the step that moves money, because the payment is still inside the system while it is decided. It is the one that matters most and the one people skip in favour of complaining elsewhere.
3. Metzee support, by email
support@metzee.com, for things a dispute does not cover: an account problem, a process that went wrong, conduct rather than a transaction.
Send the order number, the dates, and what you want. One email with the facts beats five without them.
4. The statutory route
For a data or privacy complaint — your details, your consent, a request for a copy of your data — the privacy policy names the route: write to us, and if you are not satisfied you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
For a consumer complaint about a purchase, Indian consumer law gives you routes independent of any marketplace. Nothing a dispute decides removes those rights, and nothing on this page is legal advice about which to use — if it matters enough, that is a question for someone qualified.
What does not escalate anything
Opening a second dispute on the same order. It splits the record and adds no urgency.
Posting in the seller's next show. It puts them on the defensive in front of their room and leaves no record where it counts.
Reviewing instead of raising. A review warns future buyers; it does not get your money back. Do both, in that order — raise first. Can I leave a review?
Waiting. Courier records age out and sellers forget individual parcels. A complaint a month late is decided on much thinner evidence than the same complaint on day three.
What makes an escalation work
Specifics over adjectives. "The listing said 22K hallmarked and showed a HUID; the piece has no mark, photographs attached" settles a case. "This seller is a fraud" asks somebody to go and find out what happened.
One channel at a time. Let a step complete before starting the next.
If it was decided against you
That is a different page, and there are still two useful moves. The dispute was decided against me
