What a marketplace owes the people on it
Where we step in, where we deliberately do not, and why that line sits where it does. Argued rather than asserted.

Every deadline on Metzee
Pay windows, collect-by, dispatch, returns, disputes and the day an order closes itself. One page to keep.

How we change the rules, and how you find out
Important changes are announced in the app. What that means and what it does not.

What a seller is agreeing to
Six obligations and three protections. The ones that bite are measured rather than written.

Cookies and what we track
The cookies are the sign-in session. There is no analytics script and no advertising pixel.

Our privacy policy, in plain words
What is collected, who sees it, how long it is kept. The policy still governs.

Our terms, in plain words
What the terms actually say, in the order it matters. The formal version still governs.

Strikes for sellers
Five named reasons, a ninety-day window, and what actually happens.

The rules for hosts
Short list. Three of them get accounts suspended rather than warned.

What is not allowed in a show chat
Short list, firmly applied. Two of them get accounts suspended rather than messages removed.

Do I have to sell to the highest bidder?
Yes, with one exception that is about the person rather than the price.

Can I refuse to sell if the bidding ends too low?
No. The tool for that is the reserve, and it has to be set before, not after.

Can I message a buyer directly?
Only someone you have a real connection with. Five things count, and blocking cuts it off.

How old do I have to be to sell?
Eighteen, for buying and selling both. Why it is firm, and what a younger maker can do.

Is a bid legally binding?
Treat it as binding. What the terms say, what happens if you do not pay, and the one way out.

Can I sell plants or seeds?
Mostly yes, and the problem is rarely the rules — it is the courier and the week in a box.

Can I sell ivory, shells or feathers?
Ivory, no. The rest depends on the species, and age is not the exemption people think it is.

Can I sell genuine antiquities?
Old decorative objects, yes. A genuine antiquity is a legal category with real consequences, and this is the one that catches honest sellers.

Can I sell alcohol or tobacco?
No. Not sealed, not vintage, not as a collectible with something still in it.

Can I sell knives, replicas or weapons?
Firearms never. Knives and militaria depend on what it is, and the licence question is yours to answer.

Can I sell medicines or supplements?
Medicines, no. Supplements and cosmetics, only if you are allowed to sell them anywhere.

Can I sell live animals?
No. Nothing alive, ever, and there is not even a category for it.

Can I sell digital goods?
No. Files, codes, accounts and downloads do not fit, and the reasons are the same ones that protect you.

Can I sell a service rather than an object?
No. Metzee is built around a thing that gets posted, and every protection assumes one.
There is a show on right now.
Nothing to install — it runs in this browser.
