No. No files, no downloads, no game codes, no account logins, no subscriptions, no digital art delivered by link.
Why not
Nothing is posted, so nothing can be confirmed. Your money is held until the item reaches you, and a download has no arrival for the system to see.
A dispute cannot be decided. With an object, Metzee looks at what arrived against what was described. With a file, both sides can say anything and there is nothing to inspect.
Codes and accounts are the classic fraud. A key that was already redeemed, an account recovered by its original owner a week later — these are the oldest scams in online selling, and no amount of policing makes them safe at scale.
Account sales break the other platform's rules too, which is why the buyer loses the account and has nowhere to complain.
The grey ones, answered
A physical card with a code printed on it — still a code. The card is a wrapper.
A photograph or design file. No. The print, framed and posted, yes.
Software on a disc, sold as a collectible. The object is genuinely the thing being collected — boxed games, sealed media. That is an object with a disc in it, and it belongs in Video Games or Collectibles. The line is whether the value is in the box or in redeeming something.
An NFT or anything on a chain. No.
What to do instead
Sell the physical form. A print rather than a file, a boxed copy rather than a key, a zine rather than a PDF — and if you want to give the buyer a digital extra, put it in the parcel as a card.
For buyers
If a seller offers you a code, a file or a login — on Metzee or in a message afterwards — that is outside the rules and outside every protection. Do not pay for it, and report it under Safety / report someone. Fake Metzee websites and messages
