Every clock in the product, in one place. Each of these is read straight from the code that enforces it.
If you are buying
Paying for a win you watched happen — 30 minutes. You were there, you know you won.
Paying for a win you did not see — 12 hours. It ended while you were away, so the clock is longer.
An unfinished payment attempt — 30 minutes. Within that, the app still treats it as possibly completing rather than failing you twice.
Collecting a pickup order — 72 hours from the moment it is ready, unless that store set its own.
Returning something faulty, damaged, wrong or not as described — 7 days from delivery, whatever the store's own returns policy says.
An offer a store sent you — 7 days. An offer you made a store: it has 24 hours to answer, and if it declines you can offer again on that item after 24 hours, up to three times a week.
Three unpaid wins inside 90 days and bidding pauses. A strike ages out at the end of that window.
If you are selling
Dispatch — 48 hours from payment unless you chose otherwise in your settings.
Answering a return — 48 hours, after which the buyer can ask Metzee to step in.
Money becoming withdrawable — 24 hours after the order is delivered.
A buy-now listing — 30 days on sale before it needs renewing. An auction with no bids — 30 days before the app calls it stale.
The ones that happen without anyone acting
A posted parcel is marked delivered after 7 days if nobody confirms it. That is what starts the seller's hold, and it is why tracking matters.
A dispute is decided within 48 hours of a buyer opening one.
A bid in the last moments pushes the clock back by 10 seconds, so an auction cannot be won by having the fastest connection.
Questions people ask
Can a store change these?
Only the two marked as theirs: collect-by and dispatch. The rest are the platform's.
What happens the moment a deadline passes?
It differs by deadline, and none of them is silent — the inbox always has the record.
More: how long do I have to pay, what happens if I do not collect, setting your dispatch deadline, how long a dispute takes.
