Open the show and you are watching. No account, no install, nothing to accept.
Metzee runs in a browser, so a link somebody sent you opens straight into the room. What you need to watch a show
What you can do with no account at all
Watch the whole show. Every item, the bidding, the clock.
See the prices as they move.
Give your PIN code, if you want to see only the stores that can actually deliver to you. You are not signing up by doing it.
What needs an account
Bidding. A bid is a promise to buy, and a promise from an unverifiable account is worth nothing to a seller. Is a bid legally binding?
Chatting, for the same reason.
Buying anything.
An account is a phone number and a code. Two minutes, and you can do it mid-show without losing your place. Why does Metzee ask for my phone number?
Finding a show in the first place
Live now is ordered by how many people are watching, so the busiest rooms are at the top. A busy room is usually the better place to arrive.
Coming up is ordered by when shows start, soonest first — and you can set a reminder.
Neither list can be bought into. How are shows ordered?
What to do in the first minute
Look at what is coming up, not just the item on screen. Most shows list what is still to come, and the thing you want may be twenty minutes away.
Say hello. Rooms where people talk sell more, and hosts remember regulars.
Ask about an item before it starts, not while the clock is running. A seller mid-auction cannot stop to measure something. Can I ask for more photos before bidding?
If you arrive late
The items already sold are gone, and the show page afterwards lists what went and what did not. An unsold item usually appears in the next show, so asking is worth it.
There is no recording to catch up on. Can I watch a show after it has ended?
If you have to leave
Your bid stands. Closing the tab does not withdraw it, and if you are still the highest when the clock stops, you have won. If I leave the show, do I lose my bid?
So turn notifications on before you go, because a win you never saw is the saddest way to collect a strike. What is an unpaid win?
