Your earnings, in your seller tools. Not the payouts screen — that answers a different question.
The two screens, and why people mix them up
Your earnings— what you sold and what you made over a period. The story of the month.- Payouts — what is withdrawable today and what has reached your bank. The story of this moment.
A good month with nothing withdrawable is normal, and looking at the wrong screen is why that feels alarming. Why is my payout taking so long.
The three numbers to read
Item sales — what buyers actually paid for your items. Read this rather than Gross sales, which is list value before anything comes off.
Taken off your balance — the total of everything deducted. There is a deduction I do not recognise.
What you actually made — the bottom line, also shown as ₹{n} profit on every ₹100 of sales.
That last one is only a true margin if you have filled in what your items cost you. If you have not, it is revenue after Metzee's charges and nothing else — which is why the screen prompts you with Add costs to your items →.
Where the figures come from
Where earnings come from breaks it down: Item sales, Shipping charged to buyers, Discounts given. There is also a split by channel and category, and a list of your top earning items.
The useful habit is comparing a month to the one before it rather than reading a number alone. The screen offers Previous period and Compared with {words}. for exactly that.
For a particular month
Set the period and read it. For a figure you need to keep or send on:
Export statementorDownload CSVgives you the rows.Since {date} · useful for GST and income-tax filingis the one an accountant wants.Showing latest {n} of {total} · export all— the screen shows a page; the export is everything.
For a particular show
The show's own figures, rather than this screen. A show has a recap with what it sold, and the analytics Shows tab carries revenue per show and your best time slots.
What this screen is not
It is not your bank statement and it will not match one. This is sales in a period; your bank shows payouts that cleared. An item sold on the 30th appears in one and not the other, and that is correct.
