The nine
Manager — runs the store day to day: everything except money and ownership.
Live host — goes live for the store and runs the auctions.
Show producer — lines up items and runs the show from a second phone.
Moderator — keeps live chat friendly.
Catalog — adds items, photos, stories and videos.
Packer — packs and ships orders.
Customer care — answers buyers, handles returns and disputes.
Finance — sees earnings, payouts and invoices, and cannot withdraw.
Analyst — read-only reports.
The two the owner alone can give
Managing the team, and seeing finance. Those two cannot be handed on by anybody but the owner — so a Manager cannot quietly build a team of their own or open the books to somebody else.
Everything else about money is not a permission at all: no role withdraws. Payouts and bank details stay with the owner, full stop. Can two of us run one store?
Which to give
Start narrow. Give the role that matches the job and widen later — easier than the reverse.
Somebody helping at a show needs Show producer or Moderator, not Manager.
Somebody packing needs Packer. They do not need to see your earnings to put things in boxes.
Somebody doing everything while you are away is a Manager, and that is the one to give deliberately.
Finance is for an accountant or a partner who needs the numbers. It is read-only on money by design.
What buyers see
The store's name and branding, with the person's own name alongside, marked as part of the team. A buyer always knows whether they are talking to the store's owner or somebody working for them. What is a host?
Beyond the presets
A store can build its own role from the individual permissions, and a member's permissions can be adjusted on top of their role — their role's, plus anything granted, minus anything denied.
Most stores never need this. Use a preset unless one genuinely does not fit.
Removing somebody
Any time. Their place is given up, the owner is told, and the store, listings, ratings and money are unaffected — none of those were ever theirs. How to add someone to your team
