In the order they are usually the answer.
1. The connection dipped
Most common, and usually brief. Give it ten seconds before doing anything.
If it keeps happening: move closer to the router, or switch to mobile data to test whether the wifi is the problem.
2. Battery saver paused the tab
Aggressive power saving stops a background tab, which stops a live stream. Bring Metzee to the front and turn battery saver off while you watch.
3. Data saver
Both Android and some browsers have a data-saving mode that throttles video specifically. It will be the only video on your phone that misbehaves.
4. An old browser
Live video is the part that breaks first on an outdated browser. Update it, or try a different one.
5. A VPN
It adds a detour, sometimes a long one. Turn it off and compare.
6. The device is hot
A warm phone throttles itself. Close other apps, take it out of its case, give it a minute.
No sound rather than no video
Different problem. Browsers mute autoplay by default — tap once to unmute. If that is not it, check whether a Bluetooth device has quietly claimed the output.
If none of it works
Tell us what you tried, the device and the browser. A stream that fails on a current browser and a good connection is a bug and we want it.
Questions people ask
Does buffering affect my bid?
No. The bidding runs on its own and your bid stands even if the video stalls.
Will I miss the item?
You can bid without seeing it, though we would not recommend it.
Is it better on wifi or mobile data?
Whichever is steadier. Stability beats speed for live video.
