Two taps, and one habit worth building around them.
Before you tap anything
Photograph the packed parcel. + Add photos (packing, dispatch receipt…) is on the order, and those photographs are what settle a damage claim later. It takes ten seconds and it is the cheapest insurance in selling. The parcel is part of it.
Adding tracking
On the order, Add tracking.
AWB / tracking number— exactly as the courier gave itCourier (optional)— worth filling in anyway, because it is what makes the number clickable for a buyer
If you are sending several orders with one courier, Courier for all of them (optional) saves repeating yourself.
Got it wrong? Edit tracking fixes it.
Marking it sent
Mark as Shipped.
The buyer is told immediately. From that moment the order shows as on its way, and the tracking number you entered is what they follow. If it is wrong, they will be watching somebody else's parcel — which is why the number is worth checking rather than pasting.
If it is going in a package with other items
The screen will tell you: In a package · ship it from Ship together. Do that rather than marking each one separately, or the buyer gets several tracking numbers for one box.
Afterwards
Mark Delivered exists for deliveries you make yourself. For courier orders, delivery is recorded without you.
Questions people ask
What if I have no tracking number?
For your own delivery, you do not need one. For a courier, get one — a parcel with no tracking is a dispute you cannot win.
How long do I have to dispatch?
Your store sets the window, 24 or 48 hours, and it is a promise a buyer reads before bidding.
What if the buyer says it never arrived?
Tracking and your packing photographs decide it. What if my item never arrives.
