On your screen it is a delivery option. "Profile" is the internal name, and you may still meet it in older help text or in a support reply — the two words mean the same thing.
So if you have come looking for a profile and cannot find one: Seller settings → delivery. The things listed there are your delivery options.
What one is
A named set of prices for getting items to buyers. Each option holds a rate for each zone you have defined, and each listing uses one of them.
A new store starts with a single option called Standard, with one flat rate across India. That is enough for a lot of stores and there is no need to add more.
Why more than one exists
Because not everything you sell travels the same way. A store selling earrings and ceramics needs two sets of prices, not one average that overcharges the earrings and loses money on the pots.
Typical reasons to add a second:
- Something heavy or fragile that costs genuinely more to send
- Something tiny that goes for very little
- Something you will only deliver locally, or only hand over in person
- Free delivery over a threshold, on one part of your range rather than all of it
You can have up to ten delivery options.
Which one a new listing gets
The first one in your list. So keep the option most of your items use at the top, and you will rarely have to change it while listing.
If you have several, set the right one on the listing — a heavy item on your light-items option is a loss you absorb on every sale.
What it is not
Not zones. A zone is where; an option is how much. One option holds prices for every zone. How to set delivery zones
Not a courier choice. It is your pricing, not who carries it.
Not pickup. Pickup is a method on the item, with its own points and its own deadline. What is a pickup point?
The mistake worth avoiding
Building five options before you have sold anything. Start with the one you are given, change the rate once you have posted a few real parcels and know what they actually cost, and add a second only when something in your range clearly does not fit the first.
