Anyone who can be verified. Makers, resellers, collectors, dealers, shops.
The check is on who you are, not on how you came by what you are selling.
What that means in practice
A potter selling their own work — yes, and this is where a lot of people assume the whole site ends.
A sneaker reseller — yes.
A coin or card dealer — yes.
A vintage or second-hand shop — yes.
Someone clearing a collection — yes.
A manufacturer selling direct — yes.
The categories on the site reflect that: sneakers, trading cards, coins, video games, comics, sports memorabilia, sarees, handicrafts and about twenty more. Some of those are things people make. Most are things people find, keep, and pass on.
What is actually checked
Your identity, and a bank account in the same name. That is the bar, and it is about money going to a traceable person rather than about what you sell. What is needed.
What is still off-limits
Being open about who may sell is not the same as being open about what. Counterfeits, anything needing a licence you do not hold, live animals, alcohol, weapons, wildlife products. The list and the reasons.
The one obligation that falls harder on resale
Describe the condition honestly. A maker's work is new and the variation is the point. A thirty-year-old object has a history, and the buyer is pricing in whatever you have not told them — so naming the flaw raises the price rather than lowering it.
That is the only place where selling your own work and selling somebody else's genuinely differ.
Questions people ask
Do I have to make what I sell?
No. That was once written on our About page and it was wrong — my error, now corrected.
Can I sell second-hand goods?
Yes, and a great deal of what sells here is exactly that.
Do I need a company?
No. Individuals sell here and most do. Opening a store.
Is a reseller treated differently from a maker?
No — same verification, same fees, same protection on both sides.
Can I sell something I inherited?
Usually. Antiquities are the exception worth checking first.
