I think I was charged twice
Usually a hold rather than a charge. How to tell the difference before you chase anyone.

My card was declined
Nearly always your bank rather than the card. The retry that works, and the faster route mid-show.

Is EMI available?
No. What comes closest, and why instalments sit awkwardly with an auction.

Can I pay by card?
Yes — and what happens to the card number, which is the part worth knowing.

Can I pay later?
No. What to do instead if you genuinely cannot pay now.

I missed the time to pay
Where the item went, whether you can still have it, and what it costs you.

Why is there a timer to pay?
Thirty minutes, and the reason is the person on the other end of it.

Can I see who I am bidding against?
Display names, yes. Who they are, no. And one thing nobody can see at all.

Is there a minimum bid?
Two numbers decide it: the starting price and the step. Both are on screen.

What happens to an item nobody bids on
Nothing bad. What the seller can do next, and what it tells both sides.

Can I bid in two shows at the same time?
Yes. The warning is about winning both, not about bidding in both.

It sold for less than I bid
This is what a maximum bid does, and it is working in your favour — here is why.

Did my bid actually count?
One place to look, and what a bid that never registered looks like on screen.

How will I know if I won?
Three ways you are told, and what to do if you saw none of them.

I bid but someone else is showing as highest
Almost always the increment, or two bids landing in the same second. How to tell which.

How to bring an existing shop onto Metzee, step by step
For a seller who already has stock, photos and customers somewhere else. A fortnight, in order, without closing anything.

How to respond to a dispute, step by step
Where to respond, what evidence actually counts, what to propose, and the clock you are working against.

How to find your store’s numbers, step by step
Four screens, and the five figures out of hundreds that should actually change what you do next week.

How to write a condition description, step by step
The five words the app gives you, what each one commits you to, and a template that prevents the dispute.

How to photograph an item, step by step
A phone, a window and a sheet of paper. The shot list, the six slots, and the one photo that decides whether anyone opens your listing.

How to pack an order, step by step
The slip, the parcel, the weight that decides what you are charged, and bundling several wins into one box.

How to edit or relist an item, step by step
What locks and when, the difference between relisting and duplicating, and what to change on something that did not sell.

How to set a reserve price, step by step
Where the field is, what buyers are and are not told, and why a reserve on everything costs you more than it protects.

How to boost a show, step by step
Seven promotions, what each one buys, how you pay, and the three numbers that say whether it worked.
There is a show on right now.
Nothing to install — it runs in this browser.
